Chapter Officers

Mercedes Kent

Hi! I’m Mercedes from Omaha, Nebraska. I am a Junior at Elon University and I am pursuing a degree in Biology with hopes to attend Medical School in the fall of 2018. I currently serve as the President of the Kappa Zeta chapter. It is truly an honor to lead a group of women who inspire me daily. I attribute the personal growth I have experienced to the relationships I have formed with current members as well as alumni. Sigma Kappa has taken my leadership to places I never thought possible and I will work with the other members of the 2017 Executive Council to take our chapter to new heights.

Lauren Ray

Also, this semester I have the honor of being Sigma Kappa's Executive Vice President! This role has allowed me to take on a lot of responsibility within the chapter to improve it, as well as act as a mentor to members. In my position, I lead Standards Council, the disciplinary portion of Sigma Kappa, as well as hand out Positive Standards when sisters exemplify excellent Sigma Kappa values in tough situations. I also handle risk management aspects of the organization and get to work with the beautiful women on Executive Council on a weekly basis to ensure Sigma Kappa is on the right track to success.
